Indeed, many of our djs and hosts are associated with the professional radio and events industries and also have very good contacts with the UK record and video industry. John Mayoh

 

Soon to be based in Anglesey, but with an existing base in Lancashire, John is a veteran dj who has worked at various superclubs, in the record industry and been national promotions manager for a large leisure chain. He has successfully run John Mayoh Events Ltd for many years and has also run his own successful record label. Now an established event manager and concert producer, John has worked with such luminaries as Pete Waterman, Stevie Wonder, the Hacienda, Royal Philharmonic and Will Smith.

Being a dj was always John's first love and he is fascinated by the technological developments he has experienced throughout his career. He started dj' ing with 7” vinyl and has now progressed through cdjs to twin laptops and beyond. He loves to dj with modern remixes of party classics whilst still staying on top of current floor fillers.

John still cares more about getting people dancing all around the room than anything else. He has held the dj contracts for JD Parties at Tatton Park, Aintree (was Knowsley safari park) and the ICC in Birmingham for the last 15 years and has hosted many blue chip parties and concerts. In his role as a dance music journalist and record promoter John has also worked with a plethora of top stars including Smokey Robinson, the Prodigy, Gary Barlow, Kylie and James Brown. Jon Holling

 

Although based in Manchester,  Jon was the long running breakfast dj on Tower FM- the radio station which covers Bolton and Bury. He’s seen here with one- time co- host Vix. He started his dj life with a very successful town centre residency at Yates Wine Lodge, from where he was then picked up by Tower FM. He went on to found a very successful dj agency which has since branched out into supplying various ancillary services. Jon’s talents include hosting a series of VIP awards evenings, fronting several on- air blue chip ad campaigns, and he also produced many of the ads and promotional trails for not just the Wireless Group stations, but also for the Global Radio group. He is also a trained solicitor and deals with all our contracts.

 

Leroy Lurve

Leroy is a proper frontman. Famed for his exotic costumes and brilliant audience participation he is a defo go- to if you need a larger than life personality dj. His music flows thro the 70s to the 90s and back again and he's guaranteed to get his audience on their feet. Leroy can act as a stand alone compere, or can be backed by our Best Party in Town show team. Call us for more info

  

Angie Brown

Yes, this is THE Angie Brown. Vocalist of one of the biggest grossing dance tracks of the 90s, "I'm going to get you", radio presenter, fashion show host, commanding stage presence and now true turntable terrorist extra ordinaire. Angie won't just play your favourite dance tracks, she'll also sing over her biggest hits and bounce around the stage like you wouldn't believe. She also comes as n optional front man for our Best Party in Town package, together with your favourite comic con support dj- choose from Ironman, Spiderman, Storm trooper, Captain America etc etc. So if your celebration is a real big deal- then this is the one for you.

Dan Roach

Let’s let Liverpool- based Dan speak for himself;

“From being nominated for ‘Best Male’ at the Student Radio Awards and making it to the final 3 back in 2000, I was determined not to leave it there & to achieve my dream of becoming a commercial radio presenter. I’ve worked at many stations since graduating from university in 2001, from breakfast on Wirral’s Buzz 97.1 (now Heart) to evenings on Juice FM in Liverpool.

In that time I’ve hosted many events including charity fashion shows, school tours, live broadcasts from nightclubs & local attractions such as the Liverpool Giants, I’ve been on stage at the Aintree Grand National,  I’ve introduced big name acts on to the Party at the Pier stage in front of thousands... Whatever the crowd, I can present to them for you!”

Mike Lewis aka DJ Kuta

North Wales- based Mike is our Clubland and Old Skool specialist. He’s played around the world in some of the most prestigious clubs and alongside a whole host of top chart names including, Flip n Fill , Slipmatt, Judge Jules and Ultrabeat, he was indeed also co-writer of the huge anthem Set You Free. His residencies have included BCM in Magaluf (with our pals Des Mitchell and boss Gordon Phillips- who John M gave his first club dj gig!!) and Es Paradis in Ibiza. He’s fronted the dance classics event at the UK’s biggest DJ and electronic production event BPM at the NEC. He’s versatile too, having been dj ing since 1984 he can play house, r n b and pop and isn’t afraid to get on the mic to whip up the crowd. If high intensity dance action is your bag- Mike’s your man.

Rob Charles

Rob is the voice behind the hilarious Forever FM radio excerpts on Peter Kay’s comedy “Car Share” (due back on air in 2016 for its next series). He’s also an experienced radio presenter (Rock FM, the Bee, Real Radio, Century and soon to be heard on the new Southport station, Sandgrounder) and as you may expect, a voice over specialist. With such a presenting pedigree you won’t be surprised to learn that he has also fronted a wide range of live events, from club and party nights to awards ceremonies and live concerts. Rob’s a good presenter and all- round great guy. He is guaranteed to make your event very special.

John Osborne

Of course we’ve got a Londoner on our team! John M and John O used to run their own event management company and independent record label for 10 years in Surrey. They also dj’d together for quite some time at the legendary Cinderella Rockerfellas in Purley.

Since John M returned to his native Lancashire, John O has gone on to become a successful radio presenter in London, working on such legendary stations as Horizon (London’ s most successful pirate station in the 80s and 90s), then legally on Invicta (Kent- now Heart), Virgin radio (national), Gold (London) and as the breakfast presenter on Jazz FM.

John O has always had his roots in soulful jazz funk and is now established as the dj on the prestigious opening and closing sets at the bi- annual Caister soul weekender gigs where he has taken over responsibility of bringing the whole weekend to a frenetic climax from veteran London dj Chris Hill. John has also presented at The Love Supreme Festival with some of the world’ s biggest Jazz & Soul stars (last year Chaka Khan and Van Morrison) and he’s also interviewed a diverse galaxy of artists including Madonna, Level 42 and Madness.

Finally, John’s other club work has included some of the capital’s most famous venues, the Hippodrome, Camden Palace and the Limelight to name but a few, and he is a past winner of the Beda Club DJ of the year award.

Brutus Gold

Well, what can we say!!! John M has known NE- based Brutus for nearly 20 years.

Brutus invented the original 70s disco ikon character and has been touring his show “The Brutus Gold Love Train” across the UK and Europe ever since. Their gigs have included F1 parties, celebrity weddings, West End film premieres and a whole host of show- stopping live concerts. Brutus also spent over 10 years at the Ritz in Manchester where his Wednesday night residency attracted such special guests as David Beckham, Chris Moyles, Austin Healey and Westlife.

John and Brutus regularly work together on Love Train and BGP Production shows, including the newly launched 80s spin off, All Night Long. Both stage shows last around 90 minutes with a cast of characters who will have you both roaring with laughter, joining in the fun, and reminiscing over long last memories from the era. Either side of the main show is a pro class dj who will keep the fun tumbling along and the beats strong. So if you want to feel the funk, do the hustle and dance All Night Long, then this is the gig for you.
